To copy settings one version to another, BricsCAD provides a tool perform this task
- Start your configured BricsCAD
- type PROFILEMANAGER, press <enter>
- Select a profile you wish to transfer
- click EXPORT
- Choose a location for the exported file. This file will have an ARG extension.
- Click SAVE
- repeat 3-6 for any other profiles you wish to transfer
- Start your unconfigured BricsCAD
- type PROFILEMANAGER, press <enter>
- click IMPORT
- select the ARG exported in step 5 above
- click OPEN
- you will be prompted with the name of the profile being imported, you are able to change the name of the profile here
- Click OK
- The profile (ARG) will be imported and added to the list
- Repeat steps 10-15 for any other ARG files to be imported
- Choose the profile to be set current
- Click Set Current
- Click OK
- The selected Profile and related settings will now be active
There is a video available on the Bricsys YouTube page that show the procedure to migrate your settings, LISP files, Tool Palettes, CUI files, etc to Bricscad from AutoCAD (the two applications are very similar with the file names, etc)
